  • Financial Detox: Ways to Save More Money in 2020

The start of the New Year comes with a lot of responsibility. As goals are set and resolutions are highlighted, everyone is bringing their ‘A’ game into 2020 Without say, detoxing and purging habits that don’t add value is at the top of my list. This is not just limited to health and well-being. What I am talking about here is a financial detox. Every year, I assess my spending habits with the hopes of bringing superfluous spending to an end. No matter if you bring in six figures or less, everyone has at least one habit to kick that…

Splurge v Save: The Maroon Boot

Splurge v Save: The Maroon Boot

Maroon screams Fall more than most colors. I absolutely love this color, especially in a boot. I knew I had to have a pair this season. The best part, other than the price ,is you can wear this color as a neutral. It surprisingly works well while giving the look that extra something-something. The inspiration for this buy was nonetheless the Saint Laurent’s Lou Boot: Swoon-worthy, I know. However, they retail close to $2,000, which at the moment is not in my budget. Although, I am all for splurging on a quality shoe, the the alternatives at a much lower price…

    The 9 to 9 outfit

    The 9 to 9 outfit

Don’t you love it when an outfit can take you from the office straight to dinner? Me too. I don’t want to sound like a broken record but early in my career, I reserved a part of my closet to work wear only. Every time I had plans after work, I would often decline if I didn’t have an opportunity to change into an outfit that was more “me” and not so “office-y”. Fast forward a few years later and lots has changed, especially my closet. I now purchase pieces I love and make them work for the office and…

    Tweed for (F)all Seasons

    Tweed for (F)all Seasons

When you think of Tweed, what comes to mind? I instantly picture a brisk autumn day with yellow orange leaves on the ground crunching under my feet as I stroll through the city (with my love and puppy) sipping on a hot cup of coffee. Yes, clothes and patterns make me feel a certain way…. But what I failed to mention is that in my mind, Tweed is always the color of Autumn, rich in browns, oranges, hunter greens. Today’s fashion spins a different story. For one, Tweed is no longer a fabric worn just in Autumn. It is universal…

National Coffee Day : NYC edition

My day always begins with a cup of coffee ; a cappuccino to be exact. The perfect cappuccino is like a hug in a cup that I welcome every morning. I am very particular about my cappuccinos and the milk to coffee ratio. Finding the perfect cappuccino is not as easy as it seems. Some places hit it on the nail, others miss by a mile (which leaves me disappointed as I note to self to never return). Yes, I am aware that sounds super dramatic but hear me out… There are so many coffee shops in NYC so why…
